Kandi finished up her last question then turned her quiz over.  She knew she passed, she had been studying, and had been doing really good in this class so wasn't worried.

Once time was up he gathered the quizzes.

"Read the next chapter and I will have these back to you in a few minutes."

Kandi opened her book as she was reading, after a bit, he came back handing the tests back, she smirked a bit seeing the A on her paper as she looked up at him as he smiled back then went handing the rest out, as she put it in her folder and went back to reading...

He had made a note on the test for her to stay after class.

"You all did very good on the quiz. I think the test next week will be a breeze for all of you."

Kandi saw the note as she wasn't too surprised as she kept reading when everyone else got up and left, when they were gone she smirked a bit as she got up and walked over to him.

Kandi: See, I told you, I'd still have time to study, after playing with you all night.

She teased...

He put his hands on her waist and pulled her into his lap.

"Tonight?"

She thought about it a moment then nodded her head, as that was fine with her.

Kandi: Sure, tonight is good.

He kissed her softly.

"I'll make us a nice dinner."

She kissed him back as she looked at him hearing what he said.

Kandi: Alright.  Sounds good..

He smiled softly then let her up off his lap.

"I'll come pick you up around 7."

He kissed her once more.

"I love you, Kandi."

She nodded as she kissed him back as she was thinking about it.

Kandi: I love you, too.

she said as she then headed out and made her way to her next class.

He watched her leave and smiled. He was a very lucky man. He had a wonderful job, an amazing woman in his life who he was crazy about, and he was happy for the first time in his life.

He went through the rest of the day thinking about the evening he had planned and smiled. Once he was finished with the last class, he hurried home to get dinner started and get things ready. He was nervous and excited.

She looked around as she got dressed making sure that everything was picked up then making sure everything was locked before she left her place and headed out for her dinner with Patrick.  She walked over since he didn't live that far off, as she then knocked on the door, smiling when he let her in.

Kandi: Hey.

She smiled as she walked in..

He kissed her softly.

"I was just getting ready to come pick you up."

He handed her a glass of wine and smiled.

"Dinner will be finished in about twenty minutes."

She smiled warmly as she looked at him.

Kandi: You told me to meet you here.

She pointed out as she didn't mind..

He shook his head.

"I said that I would pick you up at 7."

He smiled and shrugged.

"It doesn't matter. You are here and that is what is important right now."

She smiled as she looked at him as she was thinking about it.

Kandi: I live close enough anyways.

She smiled thinking about it as she went walking out to the kitchen with him.

Kandi: I got a promotion at the hospital today... I get to start training to be a Registered Nurse.

She smiled thinking about it..

He grinned when she said that.

"That is wonderful. And with Samantha as the supervisor of nurses at the hospital, you'll already have a friend there."

She smiled thinking about it as she nodded her head.

Kandi: Yep.

He kissed her softly.

"I am very proud of you, Kandi."

She smiled as she looked at him as she was thinking about it.

Kandi: Thank you , love...

He walked with her to the kitchen to check on dinner. He took the chicken from the oven and smiled.

"I hope you are hungry."

She nodded as she was thinking about it.

Kandi: I am.

She said as she smiled warmly...

He put their dinner on the table then refilled their wine glasses. He held her chair for her then sat down.

"Before we start, I want to ask you something, Kandi. Something very important to our future."

She looked at him a bit confused, but nodded her head, wondering what he was wanting to ask her.

Kandi: Alright...

He was a bit nervous about all of this.

"We've been together a few years now. I love you very much. You are the reason I wake up every morning with a smile on my face."

She looked at him when he said that as she smiled warmly.

Kandi: Awe, I love you very much, too, love.

He held her hand in his and looked at her.

"I think it's time we took things to the next level. I think we should move in together."

She thought about it as she looked at him smiling a bit as she thought about it, as she nodded her head, liking that idea.

Kandi: I would love too.

He kissed her softly.

"We'll find a new place that will be ours."

She nodded and smiled as she looked at him as she was thinking about it.

Kandi: I like the sound of that... Ours.
