Layla looked at James as she was just sitting up on a cliff.  

Layla: Do you think we should start looking for a new cave?

She asked as they had ventured pretty far away now, and he seemed to like the new area.  She didn't really care to live like humans did, nor did she want to leave the woods, she enjoyed living in the woods.
