Cassidy looked at the file that he tossed down on the desk as she knew she could help with it, as she had done a lot of work on this for her father already.  She moved pulling out the case work she already had together.

||Cassidy Granger||- I can stay and help you.  I've been working on this with dad for awhile, so I know just about everything that he does on it.

She said as she was happy to help seeing him smile at her, glad for the help....

He pointed to a few things at the bottom of the list.

"This is what the other side said that we know is not true. We need to find the information that proves they are lying."

Cassidy sad down in her fathers seat as she was looking over what he handed her, and reading it through, she then went to the stack of papers pulling out some documents as she handed them to him.

||Cassidy Granger||- That one can be proven by video confession, and also dna.

She said as she was looking at the other part as she was reading through some other statements that she had as well. 

||Cassidy Granger||- and this one, we have several witness who all counter them.

She said as she was looking through some more stuff while he was writing down the information that was being handed to him..

He knew it was going to be a long night for them even working together.

"You know you don't have to do this if you have other plans for the night."

She smiled warmly as she shook her head, not minding at all about staying to help. 

||Cassidy Granger||- I don't mind, and I wouldn't feel good leaving you here to do this alone. 

She said honestly as she would feel bad, and she really didn't mind staying to help as she didn't have any big plans or anything...

||Cassidy Granger||- Besides, this is better with two heads working at it.  It will still take a bit of time, but not as long as it would be doing it alone.  Also, you're good company so it makes it better.

She smiled softly as she looked at him a moment, then back at the file she was going over.

He looked at the list and sighed.

"I think a hundred people working on this would still take us all night."

Cassidy smiled when he kissed her cheek as she then heard what he said as she shook her head a bit, as she pulled out her laptop.

||Cassidy Granger||- Makayla made this program up to help with this type of thing. 

She said as she was opening the program. 

||Cassidy Granger||- Dad has also been wanting me to make sure that these are all digital as well anyways so I've been working on it pretty much sense I started.

She said letting him know showing him the program, and the files already in the system as it was running and pulling out what was needed while they were also going through stuff. 

||Cassidy Granger||- It should take about an hour two hours max.

She said smiling seeing the shocked and very pleased look on his face...

She was glad that it didn’t take them so long as she nodded her head to the dinner offer as that did sound good to her.

||Cassidy Granger||- That sounds great, thank you.

She said as she was feeling pretty hungry after working all day.

She nodded as this place was one with her.  Once seated they were giving a couple menus to look over while they were chatting a bit.  

||Cassidy Granger||- i think I’ll something lite as it’s pretty late.

She said as she was thinking about the options.

||Cassidy Granger||- They have a chicken salad on the menu, I think I’ll go with that.

She said after a moment.

"No meat please. And can I get hashbrowns to go with them?"

Once their orders were placed he looked across the table at Cassidy.
"Thank you for helping me tonight. I appreciate it."

Cassidy hadn’t minded at all helping out.  She smiled as she was looking at him thinking about it shaking her head.

||Cassidy Granger||- I didn’t mind helping, I was happy to do it.

She said as she was thinking about it.  She also knew not only was it a big help to him, but it also helped her father out.

"How are you classes going?"

He was graduating in the spring then moving on from his pre-law classes to law school. He was excited.
"If you need any help with any of them, I'm happy to help out."

It was nice that he was willing to help her with her classes if needed.  She thought about it for a moment as she knew she was doing really well with her classes right now, which was why she was helping out now.

||Cassidy Granger||- Classes are going great.  

She said as she was thinking about it.

||Cassidy Granger||- The biggest challenge has been moving into my own apartment. 

She said as she was thinking about it, knowing that both her parents took it pretty hard, and she didn’t want to stay on campus.  

||Cassidy Granger||- Dad seems to be dealing with it better now that he sees me nearly every day at work.

She said as she was thinking about it, happy that he was finally starting to be alright with it.

"Is that why your father was so grumpy a few months ago? His little girl moved out?"

He thought of his own tiny apartment.
"I sure hope you found something bigger than my apartment. You can't even turn around without bumping into a wall."

Cassidy nodded as she was thinking about both of his questions as the answer to both was very much yes.

||Cassidy Granger||- Yes, to both actually.  

She said as she was thinking about it.

||Cassidy Granger||- Actually renting a house I was lucky enough to find and grab up.  It was only a little more than the one bedroom I had been first looking at.

She said as she was thinking about it.  She had been working a lot of odd jobs even before she got out of high school, and even now was working another job along with working for her father, so she was making enough to pay for the place.....

"I'm glad your dad settled down. He was unbearable to work with there for awhile."

She felt a bit bad for that, knowing that it was her fault her father had been so upset at work, but was glad that he was doing better with it now.

||Cassidy Granger||- I'm glad he better with it as well.

She said as she was thinking about it. 

||Cassidy Granger||- Also agreed that I would call every Sunday, and that we would make sure to have a few meals together a month.

She said as she was thinking about it...

"What about your brother and sister? They still living with your parents?"

She thought about her triplet siblings as she nodded her head a bit.  Knowing that they were still at home.

||Cassidy Granger||- Yes, they are still at home.  Jr. will be staying in the dorms next year though, while Sienna wants to live at home for now and not on campus.

She said which she knew made that a little easier on everyone...

"I'm glad your sister decided to stay with them. Might make things easier here at work."

He looked at the server when their food was brought.
"This looks wonderful. Thank you and the cook."

She nodded and smiled as she looked at the food and even to what he said as she knew it would help a lot.  Even though they were all the same age, Sienna was still more child like than she was, as she was more mature, kind of like her mother had been.

||Cassidy Granger||- I think he'll be alright, at least he knows we're all still pretty close and in the area, none of us left the area for a different school.

She said as she was thinking about it, knowing that had to help a bit.

||Cassidy Granger||- He will also be seeing me every day for awhile, as I'm using the work their for credit. 

She said as she was thinking about it, She was going to be finishing up early because of it and would be joining Tristan not long after he started with how she was going.

||Cassidy Granger||- I'm looking to even get into criminal law so dad will kind of always have me around, just maybe sometimes on different sides.

She laughed a bit as she was thinking about it, knowing that she would at times have to defend people, but she was alright with it...

"Sounds like we are planning similar things. I also plan to go the criminal law route."

He put a bite of hashbrowns in his mouth and ate those before continuing.
"I plan to make sure that the man who murdered my mother finally pays for what he did. I want to be the one that puts him away for good."

She could understand that, as it was also one of the things that made her like and respect him more.  When he opened up and told her about what happened and how he had let it change his life in a different way, and not letting it ruin his life.  It made her really admire his courage.

||Cassidy Granger||- I'm not surprised at all.

She smiled looking at him as she took a bite from her plate as they were still chatting a bit.  Once they were done the meal was paid for and then the two went walking out together.

||Cassidy Granger||- Thank you for the meal.

She smiled looking at him..

"We'll have to do this again sometime. At a more normal hour."

She smiled warmly as she nodded her head thinking about it, as she did like the sound of that.  They walked outside together as she was thinking about a bit.

||Cassidy Granger||- I would like that.

They drove back to the office as she went to her car as she waved at him.

||Cassidy Granger||- See you tomorrow.

She said with a smile as he nodded and waved back.  She got in the car and drove home for the night.

When morning came she got things together stopped to pick up some bake goods and drinks before heading to the office.  She put the food down for everyone to see, telling them to help themselves as she took her tea and headed to the desk that her father had set aside for her , that he already had notes on of things needing to be done.  She smiled as she sat down and started to get to work.

She looked at him when he said that as she nodded as it was alright with her, but she was still curious as to why, seeing as he had worked pretty late last night.

||Cassidy Granger||- Oh?

She said as she looked at him to see if he would tell her a bit more.

She looked at him when he said that... One of the things she did inherit from her mother was wanting more information, which her father wasn't really good about asking questions.  She nodded a bit as she was thinking about it.  He excused himself for a moment as she then pulled out her cell phone and started to text Tristan asking him what was up and if everything was alright..

"At FBI office. Will talk later."

He put his phone back in his jacket pocket and listened to what the agents were telling him.

She was shocked to hear that he was at the FBI office, then figured it may relate to his mothers case as she was sitting there thinking about it.  She texted back alright, then put her phone down on the desk as she was thinking about it.  She then went to work on a few things that her dad wanted to work on as she saw him walk back out after a moment.

||Cassidy Granger||- Here you go, pop.

She smiled handing him the files he was asking about as she had then all done...

She smiled as she nodded thinking about it.  Liking the idea of sitting at the table with him as she looked up at him.

||Cassidy Granger||- I'd love to.

She said pretty excited as she was thinking about it...

She gave her fathers the thumbs up, as she nodded her head as she would make sure to not do anything to mess up the case, or to make her father look bad.

||Cassidy Granger||- Yep, I won't say a word.

She sad as she was happy to be able to go and learn and to even help out a bit as she was thinking about it...

She nodded as she took the note book as she thought about Tristan a moment, wondering how he was doing over at the FBI as she hoped everything was alright.

||Cassidy Granger||- Alright, will do.

She smiled as she looked up at her father as she started to look through it a bit...

She looked at him when he said that as she smiled nodding her head.  She knew that in just a year she would be able to, as she was ahead of the game and this was actually helping her get even further.

||Cassidy Granger||- It will happen, and I'm even sure we'll be sitting at other tables fighting with each other from time to time.

She joked but knew that she would be defending some she would be trying to put away, but it was the way it worked sometimes, but she would work to only defend those she felt were innocent, but knew it didn't always work out that way at first...

She thought about it a moment as she knew she actually had to clean up and change for court.  Knowing they were expected to dress a certain way, as she then shook her head.

||Cassidy Granger||- I actually have to go home and get cleaned up and changed.  That is going to take me a little bit.  but we can grab something after court if you like?

She offered that up instead as she was thinking about it..

She nodded as she thought about it as she knew he was happy to have a night out with mom, as it was a rare thing.

||Cassidy Granger||- Alright.

She smiled as she was thinking about it.

||Cassidy Granger||- You know, I've been a bit curious.  What does the judges think of you being married to the police chief?  Or even the other lawyers?  Don't they try to play it's a conflict of intrest on you , in some cases?

She asked curious as she was wondering how they handled it at times..

She listened to him talk as what he said made sense, she smiled as they chatted a few moments more before she went taking her leave so she could go and get ready. As she was getting home she did see Tristan at her door step.  

||Cassidy Granger||- Why, what are you doing here?

She asked seeing how happy he looked, as she had him come in with her.

||Cassidy Granger||- Tell me all about it as I get ready for court.

She said as she didn't mind him in her home while she was getting ready as she was curious herself, and glad to see him so happy..

"They found the guy who killed my mom. He's waiting to be sent back to the states now."

He was glad that it was almost over. The four year nightmare was coming to an end finally.

She had the bedroom door opened so she could hear him talk while she was pulling out clothes to wear, smiling when she heard what he said.

||Cassidy Granger||- That's great!

She said peaking her head out as she had taken her shirt off.

||Cassidy Granger||- We should celebrate later!

She offered as she was thinking about it, the went back in as she finished stripping down so she could change clothes..

"Dinner tonight?"

She of course thought that was a great idea as she walked out of the room dressed and was fixing her blouse a bit as she nodded and smile.

||Cassidy Granger||- Perfect idea.

She smiled as she looked at him thinking about it..

"You look great. Court with your father?"

She smiled when he said she looked great as she nodded her head at his question about court with her father.

||Cassidy Granger||- Yep, I actually need to get heading back.  I'll see you in a little bit.

She smiled kissing his cheek, feeling really happy for him as she then took her leave to meet her father at the court house for the trial...

He had no plans for the afternoon so he went on to the courthouse and sat in the galley watching the trial. It was good to keep up with what was going on.

Once it was over, he walked up to the two of them.

"Good job on the win today."

It had felt good to sit there through the case and it to go so well, to see her father in action as he won the case.  It had went really well as she smiled looking at Tristan and then her dad.

||Cassidy Granger||- It was great... I think dad scared everyone in the court room today.

She smiled seeing her dad smirk a bit feeling good.  He then let them know he had to head out to pick up her mother, she hugged him then waved as she then turned to Tristan.

||Cassidy Granger||- I'm all yours now.  Where would you like to go?

She smiled happily looking at him...

He grinned  and looked at her.

"I already have that all planned. I'll follow you home and let you change, then I will do the driving. I have already made special plans for the two of us tonight."

She looked at him as she smiled seeing that he had it all planned out.  She thought about it a moment before she started to speak.

||Cassidy Granger||- Alright, and what do I need to change into?

She asked wanting to make sure she dressed right for him...

He grinned when she asked.

"Pajamas. Just trust me. I promise it's nothing weird."

She laughed a bit but nodded as she didn't mind and trusted him.  She went heading home as she went changing out of the work clothes and then put on her pjs.  Which was a Scooby bottoms and a tank top with scooby on them.  She then saw him standing there waiting as she showed off her pjs.

||Cassidy Granger||- Slamming right?  

She said laughing a bit as he looked amused....

He smiled and looked at her. He thought she looked beautiful in her Scooby pajamas.

"Ready to go? We need to stop at my place so I can change."

She nodded as she was thinking about it, as she followed him out to his car.  Getting in as they drove to his place, so he could get changed and then wait to see what he had planned...

He pulled into his parking spot and got out. He opened the door for her then smiled as he led her into his apartment.

"I won't take long. Promise."

She didn't mind as she got out and walked into his apartment with him.  Smiling still feeling pretty good about everything as she was waiting for him to get changed like he was wanting to do....

He pulled something out of his closet then went into the bathroom to change. When he came back out, he was wearing a Scooby Doo onsie.

"Ready to go?"

She nodded and smiled as she looked at him thinking about it, loving what he was wearing as she walked with him out of the apartment.

||Cassidy Granger||- You look great. 

She said before getting in the car....

He smiled and looked over at her.

"Scooby is awesome. My favorite growing up. Still enjoy it."

He held the car door for her then walked around to the driver side. He didn't care if any of the neighbors saw them in their pjs or not. He wasn't out to impress any of them. Only her.

She buckled up as she heard what he said as she smiled thinking about it.  Knowing that she had always loved Scooby Doo also.

||Cassidy Granger||- Same, still watch it when I'm not busy working, or see it on.

She smiled thinking about it.  She looked out the window a bit as he was driving off down the road....

He drove them to the plaza downtown and parked in the parking garage. He got out and held open her door for her.

"Ready for this?"

He led her to the elevator and hit the button for the top floor of the building.

She nodded as she took his hand as she got out of the car.  She followed him to the elevator as she wondered what was going to come of all this as she smiled feeling pretty excited...

He  let her leave the elevator first then pulled out a set of keys. He unlocked the only door on this floor then stepped back letting her go in first.

He pointed to the pile of pillows and blankets on the floor beside a tv. There was no other furniture in the entire place.

He went over to the kitchen area and pulled out the take out foods he had already picked up and had kept in the warmer.

Cassidy looked around as she was actually pretty impressed.  It did look really cool as she watch him walk back after a moment with the take out food and led her to the pillows.  He sat them down on a mini table then went helping her sit as he sat down beside her.

||Cassidy Granger||- This is great.

She smiled as she was thinking about it, as she did think it was great.  She smiled as he picked up the remote and turned on the T.V...

"Close your eyes. I don't want you to see what movie I pick."

He waited for her to close her eyes then clicked the remote to play Scooby Doo.

She closed her eyes as he told her, waiting for him as he picked the movie or show to watch.  When he told her to open her eyes she did looking to see what he picked as she smiled, amused with the choice.

||Cassidy Granger||- Haha, this is great.

She smiled as they sat there watching the T.V and eating the take out food he had gotten. 

||Cassidy Granger||- Our own Pajama party, this is great.

She smiled as she was thinking about it..

He nodded and smiled.

"First night in my new place too. Got the keys today."

Cassidy looked at him surprised when he said that, as she looked around the place a bit more, feeling very happy for him.  As this was for sure an upgrade from his last place.  She was glad that he was able to do it as she smiled thinking about it.

||Cassidy Granger||- Yay!

She said as she was thinking about it.

||Cassidy Granger||- I'm so happy for you.  You deserve it, this place looks great.

She smiled as she was thinking about it..

He nodded and smiled.

"Much larger than the last place. And I own this one. Not rent."

He pointed to the hallway.

"Four bedrooms and two bathrooms down there. I'll show you around after the movie."

She listened to him talk about his place a bit as she smiled, glad to see that it was a place he owned, and didn't have to worry about the stress of rent or anything.

||Cassidy Granger||- Very cool. 

She smiled as she took a sip of her drink.

He handed her a bottle of water.

"How is the food? Didn't get anything you don't like or can't eat did I?"

He knew from them working together and often having lunch together many of the things she liked and would eat.

Lucky for her she didn't have any of the food allergies that her mom and aunts were known for.  She smiled as she looked at him, as she took the water.

||Cassidy Granger||- Food is great, very tasty. 

She smiled as she was thinking about it..

He was glad he got it right. He had been paying attention at lunch.

"Seems like I'm doing everything right today then."

He smiled over at her then took a bite of his food.

She smiled when he said that as she nodded her head.  She leaned over as she kissed his cheek as she then sat up taking a bit of her own food after that.

||Cassidy Granger||- I hope things are always like this for you.  No, even better.

She smiled as she was thinking about it..

He smiled as he watched her.

"I think they will be. I have my own home. The man who took my mother from me is paying the price finally. I have a good job. I'm almost finished with pre-law and start law school in the fall. I have an amazing friend who I care very much for."

She liked seeing like this, it feels good to see him this happy, and she was glad that he thought so much of their friendship.

||Cassidy Granger||-I’m glad you feel that way, you’re for sure one of my favorite people.

He put his fork down on his plate then leaned toward her.

"May I kiss you?"

She looked at him when he said that, not really expecting him to ask as she bit her lip a moment as he was leaning towards her, she then nodded after a moment.

{Cassidy Granger}- Yes, you may.

He raised his hands gently cupping her face and running this thumbs lightly over her lips. He lowered his head and brushed her lips lightly with his own.

"So soft."

She felt him kiss her as she started to kiss him back.  The kiss lasted a few moments before he moved his head back looking at her.  She smiled shyly as she looked at him as she didn't really know what to day, but liked it.

He lightly ran his thumb over her bottom lip.

"I may do that again later...if that's alright with you."

She looked at him as she smiled warmly, she licked her lip where he had touched her, as she nodded her head.

||Cassidy Granger||- I'll allow it.

She smiled as the two then went back to watching the television after a moment and still eating.  ..

He finished his food and pushed the plate away to wait for her to finish. Once she had, he took the dishes to the kitchen and sat them in the sink. He would wash them in the morning. Tonight was for fun.

He moved the small table out of the way then sat back down with her and leaned back against the pillows.

"I have extra blankets if you are cold."
