Mikayla: That isn't what I'm upset about, Marcus.
She paused as she looked at him.
Mikayla: It's the fact that no one even cares to ask me, or even cares to think about me in general in that place.
She pointed out, as she wasn't treated good there at all. They all pretty much took advantage of the fact that she usually didn't have much of a back bone, but this was just too much.
Mikayla: I have Jan coming anytime now. She's in really bad shape and i want to be there for my sister.
She said as Jan had been hurt really bad and she was trying to be there for her sister.

She said feeling bad as she just looked down at her fingers. She wasn't good around people and didn't really know what to say, but knew he was upset with her. She didn't know why, she didn't even know he knew she existed until today. This was a lot to take in for sure.

He growled when she said that as she bit her lip a bit, looking at him as she played with the hem of her skirt a bit, seeing him get angry and upset.

Mikayla: I have chicken soup in the crock pot for Jan. I made enough for everyone.
She said as she then walked into the kitchen. She took a breath as she was thinking about everything. It was all very over whelming she didn't know what to think or what to do. She couldn't picture someone as great as Marcus being in love with her, or even liking her. She didn't see herself as anything worth it.

Should be fine four a couple of hours.
She said as she saw him nod as he was working on his laptop. She then went walking upstairs as she wanted to make sure the guest room was ready for her sister. Knowing she had it set up for her recovery.

Mikayla: I don't understand. Was he worried about her being here while we are doing this case?

"James has her. She is fine. Dillan just left them. Apparently her ex-husband had called James and told him about a threat that had been made against him. James is protecting her."
He called James. After a few minutes, he hung up and smiled at Mikayla.
"James said that we can go over to his place so you can see your sister."

she said as she didn't want her to worry.
Mikayla: I'm glad you're alright. You look a lot better.
she said looking her over , seeing that she was healing well.
Jan: I feel a lot better, even able to walk on my own a bit.
she smiled as Mikayla was happy to hear that.

He was still frowning when he went back to the girls.

She said honestly as she felt horrible about all this, that he may have to risk himself for her. They talked a bit more as he then led her outside to the car as he held the door for her, she was feeling sad about what was happening.

"We are going to stay at a hotel for now. I have done a few things to throw off the trail though. My brother is on his way here and is going to drive us to the hotel. My other brother is going to take my car to the airport and park it in the long term parking garage. I have purchased two tickets to a popular honeymoon location. While he is at the airport, he is going to check us in at the self check terminal. He will board the plane with his wife, and they get a free trip out of this for helping us."

As she hadn't really been any place like this. Always working or just home, so this was actually a nice change as the room was beautiful.
